Love Colored Master Spark (Japanese: 恋色マスタースパーク) is one of the themes of Marisa Kirisame, one of the main characters in the Touhou Project series. Like many other Touhou songs, it has been the subject of many Remixes and MAD videos.
Origin
The song origates from the 8th installment of the Touhou Project Series, Imperishable Night.[1] Marisa can appear in the fourth stage as a boss if the player chooses either the Illusionary Border Team (幻想の結界チーム) or the Visionary Scarlet Devil Team (夢幻の紅魔チーム) at the beginning of the game, otherwise the player ends up with Reimu Hakurei as the boss.
Love Sign, Master Spark
The Master Spark has grown into Marisa Kirisame’s signature spell card after its first usage by her in Touhou 6, Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil. After Touhou 6, it continued to be her spell card in other Touhou Project games, spin-off series and fan-made games. It consist of a large, often rainbow-colored, laser. On DeviantArt, searching for “Master Spark”[2] gives nearly 2000 results as of May 25th, 2012, similar to the various results it generates on Tumblr[3].

At the time of the 8th game’s release, Touhou Project already had a large internet following, so there is no surprise that the theme was taken in so quickly by the community. It has spawned many Remix, Cover Videos, and MADs.
