Chubby Chubby Chip Chip is a chiptune song made by famous chiptune musician, video game composer and sound designer Mark Knight, also known as “TDK” (The Dark Knight) or madfiddler, in 1992. The song became a popular musical source for YTPMV’s in 2010.
Origin
Mark Knight, a member of Melon Dezign and Anthrox, produced the chiptune song with the freeware tracker program called “Protracker” in 1992 and has been released in August 13, 1992.
In October 20, 2010, YTPMVer “DWL1993” uploaded a video titled RED Flash remixing the chiptune song using the “Team Fortress 2” videos.
Spread
A day later, the video has been shared to the russian Team Fortress 2 website “tf2in.ru”[1] and after end April 2011 other YTPMVers started to join the fad. The video titles for these videos have a snowclone X Flash and sometimes the word X has big letters.
On June 16, 2011, a video titled Bender Flash has been uploaded and many YTPMVers followed the style of the video.
On June 22, 2011, DWL1993 made a remake of his YTPMV, that get many video responses.
On January 27, 2012, “AmazingFilms247” also made a YTPMV and his video gained more than 150.000 views.
