On August 16th, 2014, Eron Gjoni, ex-boyfriend of indie game developer and former Suicide Girls model Zoe Quinn, expose the internet to her cheating on Eron Gjoni for a number of men working in the video game industry including Kotaku staff writer Nathan Grayson in exchange for publicity and fame for her 2014 text-based indie game Depression Quest. This started a highly online controversy and the beginning of GamerGate.
