On Monday, November 23, armed men who were allegedly frequent users of 4chan’s/pol/ and /k/ boards shot and injured 5 Black Lives Matterhttp://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/black-lives-matter protesters. By the next day, three suspects were arrested in connection to the shooting. All of the injuries sustained in the shooting were non-fatal.
Background
The alleged attackers, who according to protesters, had recorded footage of the protests on the previous Friday and refused to explain why they were there, were recorded in a video posted to the “Black Lives Matter” facebook page with firearms and speaking about the protests with frequent references to /pol/ memes such as referring to the protesters as “Dindus” short for “Dindu Nuffin.”
