Jar Jar Binks is the name of a fictional character within the Star Wars prequel trilogy. He has since appeared in many games, books, and animated series surrounding the films. Since his introduction many online fans have expressed their disgust for the character, often citing him as one of the worst aspects of the prequel trilogy, and Star Wars as a whole, and usually criticizing series creator George Lucas for the character’s creation. Recently a fan theory of Binks being a secret Sith Lord (often said to be a new body of the immortal Darth Plageuis) has gained traction online, both ironically and unironically, with some going so far as to predict he is in fact the identity of The Force Awakens villain Supreme Commander Snoke.
