“Baton roue” Edits are edits of a comic by the French artist Corentin Penloup which features a man who crashes after putting a stick in the front wheel of the bicycle he is riding. Edits of the comic typically feature characters or people taking the place of the man on the bike who blame others for crashing.
Origin
The original comic, titled “Baton roue” (French, “wheel stick”), was first published on Penloup’s personal art blog on January 23, 2011.[1]

On October 16, 2012, Reddit user muthafuckenbeetroots posted the comic to the subreddit /r/funny, where it gained over 1500 upvotes.[2] On September 11, 2015, Tumblr user lonely-and-the-infinite-sadness posted a screenshot of a Donald Trump edit, which gained over 110,000 notes.[3]
