“Olympics or Gay Porn?” is a photoshop trend using unnecessary, accidental censorship in order to make Olympic events such as diving and swimming look like erotica.
Origin
On July 30, 2012, tumblr user windshieldviper uploaded a photoset with the caption “the score bars are leaving much to the imagination” depicting a case of accidental censorship. [1]
On the same day, tumblr user jackmok65 posted a similar image in which a pause bar provided similar censorship. [2]
Both posts quickly spread, gaining over 50 thousand notes each.
